GROUP TRAINING
Forget four walls! Train your pup in the fields, forests, and farmers’ markets of South Burlington, Vermont, where good behavior really pays off! Chittenden County community based group dog training in the great outdoors. Currently, classes and sessions are only running during the summer/early fall June-October.
Classes and sessions are all drop-ins and are dependent on weather. Weather alerts will be sent to clients via email and Facebook group.

PUPPY KINDERGARTEN
Your puppy’s world is bigger than a classroom! Train outside where they can learn to focus through wiggly tails, crunchy leaves, and curious noses!
Age: 10 weeks to 6 months (size may become a factor for larger breeds)
Cost: $50 | 1 hour class

PUPPY SOCIAL
Sniff, romp, and learn! Our puppy social group blends safe play with expert guidance, so your pup makes friends while you get fluent in dog body language.

BEGINNER BASICS
Kick off your dog’s training in the great outdoors! Master the basics like sit, stay, and leash walking where real-life distractions (and squirrels) live!
Minimum age: 6 months
$50 | 1 Hour session

CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGC)
The AKC Canine Good Citizen™ (CGC) program provides a perfect framework for training your dog to become a polite member of society.
Minimum age: 6 months
Cost: $65 | 1 hour class

LEASH AND LEARN COMMUNITY SESSIONS
Pre requisite: Must have completed 1 private training session with BlackJack Dog Training.
Train, Walk and Connect! These relaxed community sessions are designed to help you and your dog practice real world training in everyday environments with the support of a pro by your side!

REACTIVITY RESET (HYBRID CLASS)
Is your dog turning into a barking, lunging tornado during walks? Our Reactivity Reset program is here to save the day; not with quick fixes, but with long lasting positive change! Say goodbye to chaotic strolls and hello to peaceful, confident adventures! This class has it all; from community based group session to private personalized in person lessons!

HAPPY TAILS
Shayla has lead group training that I’ve attended with my dog Veda for a year and half! Shayla is very good at assessing each dog’s individual needs and interpreting animal body language. She has house sit for me twice in complicated situations and I never had a concern while I was gone. For background, that is a big deal as my dog has escaped twice. I didn’t worry when she was with Shayla. We also had two cats that needed to be separated.
